Art in Action

We had a fantastic day at Art in Action in the Oxfordshire countryside. It is an event inspired by the simple principle that people are fascinated when artists and craftspeople openly demonstrate their skills and discuss their work.

We met many inspiring painters, printmakers, sculptors, textile artists, ceramicists, wood carvers, metalwork and jewellery makers... the list goes on! It was an educational experience to watch how a bronze cast is made and how glass is blown. The only drawbacks were the weather which was inclement, and the fact that my feet were saturated with mud, as you can see below.
